Elsa Muñiz Hermo

Pianist, composer, and creator of Pianotelling.

Elsa Muñiz is a Galician pianist and composer who has developed a unique and deeply personal artistic proposal: Pianotelling, an interdisciplinary experience where instrumental music becomes an emotional narrative.

In a time marked by haste and immediacy, her work invites the audience into a meaningful pause to listen, feel, and connect.

Trained at the Higher Conservatory of Music of Vigo, she continued her studies at the Fryderyk Chopin University of Music in Warsaw and the University of Santiago de Compostela, where she completed her teacher training.

In 2018, she released her first album of original compositions, Memories,a work based on autobiographical micro-stories and calligrams that received wide public acclaim, surpassing four million streams across digital platforms.

In 2024, Muñiz presents Presentimiento, an audiovisual piece recorded on a traditional Galician mussel raft (batea) in the Ría de Arousa as a tribute to tribute to her late father and to the people of the sea. This project, carried out in collaboration with Alimentos de España and the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food, reflects her commitment to her roots, her territory, and the real stories that deserve to be told from an intimate perspective. The video's impact on social media and regional media further consolidated her artistic identity, marked by sensitivity, honesty, and emotional connection.

One year later, on June 27, 2025, she released New Beginnings, a deeply personal work that narrates a process of vital and artistic transformation. Composed of nine piano pieces accompanied by texts and calligrams, the album revolves around rebirth, courageous decision-making, and the search for authenticity.

This release also marks a new professional stage in which Elsa decides to leave behind the security of her previous career to dedicate herself fully to her musical calling.

With New Beginnings, Elsa Muñiz consolidates her own language within contemporary instrumental music, offering an honest, emotional, and deeply human artistic proposal.

Her Pianotelling it is not a genre, but a profound form of communication: each piece is a story, each note a shared emotion.

Currently, she combines her creative facet with concerts, sensory experiences, and cultural projects that bring together art, pedagogy, and emotion.
